My Indie Cred

Haha. So, I randomly decided I wanted to try and learn acoustic guitar, so I pulled out my mom’s… but it’s kind of busted up. Like, the neck is almost detached from the body. So until I can play around with fixing it (I can’t ruin it any worse than it already is), I decided to take some reference photos with it. I liked this shot, so I pulled it into photoshop.

If I ever actually gain any musical aptitude, this can totally be my debut album cover. :P The watercolor textures are from some sites on the internet that Ressa linked to in her Twitter. I never think I’m actually going to have a use for those things, and then bam, find a good application…

I’d like to give specs on the guitar, but it’s ancient and has no identifying features aside from a generic serial number on the back of the headstock.

Anyway, hope y’all like it, I certainly think it was a good use of two hours!
(and yes, I hate drawing guitar strings. I’m 0 for 2 in the self-portrait-with-guitar department)
